China Canned Food industry Association (CCFIA) is the only nationwide organization entrusted for a service and management to canned food industry in China.
[BRIEF INTRODUCTION] CCFIA ,established in Aug. 1995 in Beijing and approved by the Chinese government ,is an independent legal organization with over 500 members mainly including canned food manufacturers, sales companies, accessory products and equipment manufacturers, scientific research, education, quality inspection units, foreign invested companies and organizations in China. CCFIA is the representative of the common interests of the national members and it aims to promote the development in canned food industry in China and provide a good service to all its members.At present the Council of CCFIA is at the third term.
[MAIN FUNCTIONS OF CCFIA]Make investigations on canned food development in different regions in China and put forward suggestions and ideas on regulations and policies related to the industry; Collect information on economic index of the industry, analyze and make statistics on the information and release information on the development of the industry; Assist the government to draw up various national industrial standards, and to supervise the quality control; Make the operation regulations of the industry to make a fair play and reflect the claims from the members and coordinate the relationships between them; Publish the professional books and magazines on canned food industry and conduct technical consultancies and various kinds of trainings on technology, management and occupation; Hold professional trade shows to develop the market and application and dissemination of the newly developed technology and products; Make exchanges with foreign industry organizations and foreign canned food associations on economy and technology to expand the international cooperation; Coordinate the relationship between the enterprises and the government to maintain the legal rights of the enterprises and undertake some work entrusted by the government;
[ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE]Every five years CCFIA makes an election to form a leading organization including a member of council and standing member of Council ,the president and several vice presidents .There is a Secretariat and several professional committees (including a sub-council and a center) under it.
SECRETARIAT:
Responsible for the daily work including organizing member conference, President's working meetings, making contacts with the relative government departments, undertake occupational training, drawing up and evaluating the on the national industry standards, making certifications on production codes of canned food industry and providing the other kinds of service work..
CANNED FOOD COMMITTEE OF THE NATIONAL FOOD STANDARDIZATION TECHNICAL COMMISSION:
Assist the government to draw up and examine the national industry standards and give them to wide publicity.
SCIENCE & INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE CENTER:
Acting as a platform for technicians and experts to make technological innovations and its daily work is to publish the professional books and magazines on canned food industry and conduct technical consultancy and various kinds of scientific and technological research projects and etc.;
EXHIBITION & INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE CENTER:
Organize the professional canned food manufacturers to attend important professional trade shows both at home and abroad to make exchanges with foreign industry organizations, foreign canned food associations and manufacturers.
DISTRIBUTOR COMMITTEE:
Composed of professional canned food sellers, consultant and planning organizations, to develop the industry, its aim is to analyze the market status and share the information, make sales policy train the sales personnel, and make contacts with the commercial and industry control departments of the government, timely regulate the sales policy and extend the market entry plan.
